Volunteer & Graduate Studies

Faculty members within the Muscle Health Research Centre (MHRC) are actively involved in the training of "highly qualified personnel" at all levels of education.  At the undergraduate level, individual faculty members have the possibility to take on Summer students each year in volunteer positions.  This placement allows students to become familiar with a laboratory setting, and to get to know the professor and current lab trainees. Paid positions are sometimes available, and Summer Fellowships are possible through the NSERC USRA program, with applications due in Jan-Feb every year.

Faculty members also admit MSc and PhD students through the Graduate Programs in Kinesiology and Health Science, or Biology.  Trainees interested in any of these opportunities should investigate the research program of potential supervisors prior to applying, then directly contact the specific supervisor for a possible interview.
